British philosopher Antony Flew abandoned atheism and became a theist as a result of a longterm contemplation of the intelligent design issue. Formerly, he had been a renowned debater for atheism. According to the news organization MSNBC, Flew became a theist because he believed a super-intelligence was the only good explanation for the origin of life and the complexity of nature.
